Abstract：The pathogens of “reverse back syndrome”of whelk Babylonia areolata in Hainan were isolated and identificated ,and drug sensitivity and treatment were tested .The results showed that the pathogen is Vibrio harveyi ,which is sensitive to quinolones and sulfonamides ,and resistant to penicillin and amoxicil‐lin .Drug treatment test indicated that the final survival rates of the w helk treated by norfloxacin ,com‐pound sulfamethoxazole ,benzalkonium and bromide and of the animals in the control group were 39 .05% , 32 .38% ,29 .52% and 14 .29% ,respectively .The efficacy of norfloxacin is better ,and it can be used to treat “reverse back syndrome” in the w helk .
