Abstract Three kinds of hormones were evaluated based on the results of artificial propagation in cultured Russian sturgeon .Injection of carp pituitary ,L HRH-A2 and L HRH-A2 +DOM induced cultured sturgeon brood fish mature and spawn .Among them ,the combination of LHRH-A2 +DOM was the most effective hormones based on results including latency time (22-38 h) ,success rate(80% ) ,fertilization rate (83 .2 ± 3 .46)% and hatching rate(83 .2 ± 3 .46)% .There was no significant difference in induction of sperm and quality among difference experimental groups .Duration of sperm quick movement was 58-115 s ,the life span of sperm was 130-235 s ,and the sperm density was 0 .1 × 109 -2 .21 × 109/mL .
