Abstract The effects of Ginkgo biloba leaf extract(GBE)on cytochrome P4503A and lysozyme activity in crucian carp(Carassius auratus)were studied by NaSH method. The results showed that GBE added to the diets significantly improved the cytochrome P4503A activity in crucian carp compared with the control group. The fish fed the diets supplemented with GBE in the three groups had significantly higher activities of cytochrome P4503A and lysozyme and higher resistance to disease at an optimal level of 25 mg/kg diet.
