Abstract:The eutrophication levels were assessed on dissolved oxygen , chemical oxygen demand , inorganic nitrogen ,phosphate and chlorophyll a data collected in coastal Weihai ,Shuangdao Bay ,in June of 2012 ,by a grey cluster method .The results showed that the southern Shuangdao Bay was characterized by eutrophication ,the center Shuangdao Bay by medium-level nutrient ,and the northern Shuangdao Bay by oligotrophication ,which was attributed to the geographic feature of the Bay ,the sea pollution ,and aquaculture activity .It was found that the grey clustering method was more suitable for evaluation of the seawater eutrophication compared with the nutrition condition performance and nutrient index .
