Abstract:The effects of the interaction of heavy metals lead, zinc and copper ions on accumulation of cadmium were studies in crucian carp Carassius auratus by an ecological method. The results showed that the accumulation of cadmium in tissues of Crucian carp was dependant on the species, contents and tissue types. The accumulation of cadmium was affected not only by single metal, but also by interaction of the metals. The accumulation of cadmium was found to decrease in the gills, and to increase in the hepatopancreas. There was no significant effect of the metal mixture on the cadmium accumulation in the muscle. The lead accumulation in the tissues was in a decent order ranged as:hepatopancreas>gill>muscle.
