Abstract:The crude product of polysaccharides was isolated from fresh razor clam Sinonovacula constricta chopper added water by ultrasonic extraction and further purified by DEAE ion-exchange chromatography and Sephadex G-75 chromatography. The antioxidant activity of the polysaccharide substances was determined by fenton system and Pyrogallol oxidation. The results showed that the polysaccharide rate of ultrasonic extraction was 19.93%. The razor clam polysaccharides had effect on scavenging hydroxyl free radicals,and the scavenging hydroxyl free radical ability was increased up to 94.76% and scavenging superoxide anion radical ability was up to 83.08%.
