Abstract:The expression level of hepcidin gene was monitored in field eel Monopterus albus artificially in-fected by different concentration of Aeromonas hydrophila 24 ,48 ,and 72 hours of infection by the methods of FQ-PCR .The results showed that hepcidin transcripts were detected in kidney of healthy field eel . When the field eel was challenged with A .hydrophila injection ,the hepcidin expression quantity was in-creased significantly .The hepcidin transcripts decreased as time prolonged in mostly tested groups(0 .5 × 108 cfu/mL ,2 × 108 cfu/mL and 4 × 108 cfu/mL) ,but increased in the group treated with A .hydrophila at concentration of 1 × 108cfu/mL .The finding showed that the hepcidin expression quantity was increased in field eel with A .hydrophila injection at concentration of 1 × 108cfu/mL .
